I used the second background to overlay the image in a black painted outline. This was loosely inspired by some of Marcus Harvey’s work that is connected with a technique he used with the images from Reader’s Wives magazine.
First outlines done in white chalk then black acrylic paint added.
The third image was added in orange paint pen. I had an idea to lose the background in the final piece by painting over it.
Black paint around the robot to leave the outlined image intact.
